Building relationships through collaborative projects
HSBC, a global leader in banking, acquired Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) to strengthen its position in the innovation sector. Tasked with creating the new “HSBC Innovation Banking” identity, our team faced the challenge of merging two powerful brands while designing an office space that embodied excitement and sustainability.
Through in-depth brand research and a collaborative design process, we crafted signage and graphics that reflected both HSBC’s and SVB’s legacy. Using dynamic shapes, vibrant colours, and sustainable materials like recycled metals and biodegradable plastics, we transformed the office into a space of innovation.
Our mission was to transform SVB’s physical environment to reflect HSBC Innovation Banking’s fresh brand identity. The goal was to deliver signage and graphics that not only communicated the essence of this new brand but also enhanced the office environment, making it exciting and sustainable.
Successfully merge SVB’s established identity with HSBC Innovation Banking’s new persona while maintaining a unified visual narrative.
Design an office space that embodies the spirit of innovation and dynamism that characterises the tech and financial industries.
Utilise eco-friendly materials to honour HSBC’s commitment to sustainability without compromising design quality.
We conducted thorough research into HSBC’s and SVB’s brand elements to ensure that the new identity could carry forward their core values. Our approach seamlessly blended the key visual aspects of both brands into a cohesive new identity.
Through close collaboration with stakeholders from HSBC and SVB, we engaged in iterative design phases. Feedback loops allowed us to refine the graphics and signage, ensuring the new design captured the vision and essence of both organisations.
To reflect the cutting-edge innovation in the financial sector, we used bold colours, futuristic shapes, and graphic representations of technology to create a vibrant and energetic office space. These elements symbolised the forward-thinking approach that HSBC Innovation Banking champions.
We prioritised sustainability by selecting eco-friendly materials such as recycled metals, biodegradable plastics, and low-VOC inks. Our commitment to high environmental standards ensured that quality and durability were not compromised.
We managed the installation of signage and graphics across multiple locations, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Our phased rollout plan was executed with precision, aligning with the wider transition from SVB to HSBC Innovation Banking.
The integration of visual elements from both HSBC and SVB was flawless, resulting in a unified and recognisable brand identity.
The redesign created an atmosphere of excitement and innovation, which resonated with employees and visitors alike.
The use of environmentally responsible materials reinforced HSBC’s dedication to sustainability, aligning with their corporate values and bolstering their image within the tech and innovation sectors.
Feedback from stakeholders, employees, and clients was overwhelmingly positive, cementing the success of the brand transition.
Our strategic signage and graphics implementation played a vital role in facilitating HSBC’s takeover of SVB and establishing HSBC Innovation Banking’s new identity. By merging creativity with professionalism, we delivered a vibrant and sustainable office space that aligns with the values of a dynamic and forward-thinking industry. This project highlights our expertise in brand integration and commitment to designing spaces that inspire and innovate.
